About Module 2

The Advanced Body Language & NVC Training for Frontline Personnel Course is the second course of the Special Projects Group N-VSAT Programme. Designed to equip security professionals with the tools they need to detect threats before they fully manifest, it focuses on practical, real-world applications of Non-Verbal Communication (NVC) and Behavioural Analysis, emphasising skills that are essential for anyone working in high-risk environments, such as security operators, law enforcement, and military personnel. The course covers a wide range of topics, from recognising immediate signs of danger through facial expressions and body language, to understanding how environmental markers and contextual cues can indicate abnormal behaviour. Participants will learn to sharpen their situational awareness, making them more adept at reading both people and environments.

About the N-VSAT Programme

The Non-Verbal Surveillance & Analysis Training (N-VSAT) Programme, developed by Special Projects Group Ltd consists of three courses. The first being the Foundation-Level Course. There are two more courses that make up the full Programme. The second, which is a mandatory follow-on course, is this Advanced Body Language & NVC Training for Frontline Personnel. The third course, is designed for Security operations within marine port areas, and is the Body Language & NVC Training for Maritime & Port Security Operations. This is an optional course and not a mandatory attend.

Learning Outcomes

The course comprises of the following Learning Outcomes:

  1. To provide the learner with an Introduction to Threat Detection: Gain an understanding of how to apply NVC to spots threats before they fully manifest.
  2. To explain Amygdala Hijacking: Understand how our brain can be hijacked, decreasing our ability to think rationally.   
  3. To explain Limbic Responses: Spot the tell-tale signs of someone who is experiencing Freeze, Flight, Fight, and Flop.   
  4. To provide the learner with an explanation of the Principles of Threat Detection: Gain an overview of the principle’s pf detecting threats by NVC Body Language Analysis   
  5. Violence, Duress, and Deceit across the Face: Spot dangerous people through Facial Expressions.
  6. To explain Kinesics Cues to Threat: Explore the fundamental ways threat is identified in the body.   
  7. To explain Biometric cues to threat: What are the biometric indicators to threat.   
  8. To explain Historic Markers: How can we use historic data to spot threats in a variety of situations. 
  9. To provide the learner with an introduction to Verbal Indicators: How do we use language to build rapport and influence those around us.
  10. To provide the learner with an introduction to Operations: How do we apply to security operations?  
  11. To explain Environmental Markers: How to read the environment
  12. To provide the learner with an introduction to Contextual Cues: Learn how to apply the lens of context to avoid mistakes in your analysis
  13. To explain ANPA + ANOTA: Learn about the groundbreaking Situational Awareness tool that enhances your own intuition to spot threats. 
  14. To provide the learner with an introduction to Crowd Profiling: Learn how to read crowds and identify suspicious activity.
  15. To provide the learner with an introduction to Combat Profiling: Learn how to read people and environments to spot potential threats before they manifest.
  16. To explain Situational Awareness and Behaviour: Improve your overall situational awareness and use behavioural techniques to spot threats
  17. To provide the learner with an introduction to Working with Interpreters: Enhance your ability to use interpreters during operations.
Certificate

Successful learners will receive the Non-Verbal Surveillance & Analysis Training (N-VSAT) Programme Advanced Body Language & NVC Training for Frontline Personnel Certificate, recognising their proficiency in behavioural detection, situational awareness, and threat assessment through Non-Verbal cues. This certification verifies their practical understanding and ability to apply these essential skills in real-world security contexts, enhancing their professional credentials.

Candidates wishing to attend the N-VSAT Programme: Advanced Body Language & NVC Training for Frontline Personnel must have successfully attended and passed the Foundation Body Language & NVC Training for Security Personnel.
