About the Course

This Combat Defence System – Physical Restraint Techniques (CDS-PRT) Course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to apply safe, legal, and effective physical restraint techniques when managing challenging or aggressive behaviour. The course emphasises minimising risk to all parties involved and prioritises de-escalation and prevention strategies. Throughout the training, participants will explore the ethical, legal, and practical aspects of physical intervention, with a strong focus on safety, dignity, and communication. The Combat Defence System – Physical Restraint Techniques (CDS-PRT) Course is instructed by former UK Military (Royal Marines Commandos) personnel. Instructors are schooled in various forms of Martial Arts and Unarmed Combat.
