CDS Level 1: Self-Defence Training
As with any potential volatile or austere environment, there will be times when you may find yourselves confronted by an individual, or group of people who may be intent on causing you physical harm. SPG have devised a system of both defensive and offensive techniques, which are easy to use and simple to master, and are ideal for self-defence purposes.
CDS Level 2: (2a) Kubotan and (2b) Edged Weapon Training
The Kubotan is a highly effective, close quarter, self-defence ‘tool’ based on a keychain that was developed by Soke Takayuki Kubota in the late 1960’s. It is used primarily to gain instant compliance through use of nerve and ‘soft area’ pressure, or by striking into key pain areas of the body. SPG incorporate this into their CDS Level 2a Course, and participants are instructed by experienced Directing Staff. SPG also provide a knife defence module on their CDS Level 2b Course for Edged Weapons. Here participants will receive instruction on how to utilise an edged weapon for both defensive and offensive purposes.
Please Note: CDS Level 2b Courses will only be instructed to Military Personnel, Law Enforcement Personnel, and Private Security Companies (under official contracts).
CDS Level 3: Tactical Secondary System
Tactical Secondary System Training is ideal for both single operators and team members conducting Close Quarter Combat (CQC) or Modern Urban Combat (MUC) Operations. Participants are instructed on critical areas of the effective use and tactical implementation of secondary systems for Dynamic and Deliberate Entry Drills, Room Clearing, and associated scenarios.
Please Note: CDS Level 3 Courses will only be instructed to Military Personnel, Law Enforcement Personnel, and Private Security Companies (under official contracts).
CDS Level 4: Tactical Primary System
Tactical Primary System Training is ideal for both single operators and team members conducting Close Quarter Combat (CQC) or Modern Urban Combat (MUC) Operations. Participants are instructed on critical areas of the effective use and tactical implementation of secondary systems for Dynamic and Deliberate Entry Drills, Room Clearing, and associated scenarios. Other areas covered include Transitioning to Secondary Systems, Weapon Carriage, Clear & Reload, and much more.
Please Note: CDS Level 4 Courses will only be instructed to Military Personnel, Law Enforcement Personnel, and Private Security Companies (under official contracts).
CDS Level 5: Advanced Search Techniques

Students attending this course must be familiar with low to medium-threat search techniques such as wall search, seated search, and minor stress position searching.
