Our 2-day HERT Team Leader Course has been designed for Military Personnel Team Leaders and Supervisors, Volunteer Team Leaders, or Managers from the various ‘Frontline’ International NGOs, Charity Organisations, Media Staff and Professionals, Financial Institutions, Oil, Gas & Utilities Workers whom are managing others operating within austere, or high-threat environments.

SPG’s Hostile Environment Readiness Training (HERT) Package

The most advanced and comprehensive Hostile Environment Readiness Training (HERT) Package of its type. Aimed at providing clients with a structured, progressive training programme, Special Projects Group have developed their HERT Programme to cover both a foundation-level, 3-Day Team Member and an Advanced, 2-Day Team Leader course. Designed and written by former Elite Military Unit Operators (Royal Marines Commandos / SFSG), HECPO Team Leaders, and Security Project Managers, the HERT Programme prepares the delegates to effectively live and work in medium, to high-threat, or austere environments.

About The HERT for Team Leaders Course

Written and designed by Close Protection Specialists possessing many years combined tactical training and operational experience in high-threat environments such as Iraq, Afghanistan and SE Asia, and former members of the Elite British Royal Marines Commandos and Special Forces Support Group [SFSG]. The course focuses on subjects related to critical subject matter with regards to the managing, planning and maintaining key elements within the Protective Effort, threat and action of kidnap and associated areas of targeting indication, as well as surveillance recognition, mitigation, and associated countermeasures. The training covers key subject matter and areas associated with the management and welfare of team members, as well as the elements associated with task planning, maintaining the protective effort, and the safety and security of personnel.

A Course Information Pack will be sent to course delegates once they have been booked onto a course and payment made in full. This will detail instructions for joining the course, expectations of behaviour during your time with us at Altcar Training Camp, kit list, ’72-Hour Bag’ details, and a course timetable.

HERT for Team Leaders Course Training Environment

The HERT-TL Course is instructed on-site at Altcar Training Camp, near Merseyside, UK. This is an active UK Military Training Camp, with hundreds of acres of training areas including live-fire ranges, classrooms, accommodation and offices. Course Delegates will be exposed to both a classroom-instructed and outdoor (activities) managed course, with accommodation and meals provided.

Who The HERT for Team Leaders Course Is Aimed At

The course is aimed at personnel acting as Team Leaders or Managers of a team who may find themselves living and working in hostile, or high-threat environments anywhere in the world.
