LEADER Programme: Effective Leadership – Foundations

Effective Leadership – Foundations builds essential skills for inspiring and guiding teams with confidence. This first of LEADER Programme Courses is perfect for leaders seeking to deepen their self-awareness, enhance communication, and foster trust, creating a strong foundation for impactful leadership in any organisation.

The Special Projects Group LEADER Programme consists of three courses. Each course builds on the previous to provide the learner with a comprehensive programme. The other two courses in the LEADER Programme are: Leading for High Performance and Organised Chaos. You must complete the Effective Leadership – Foundations before attending the other courses.

This course consists of the following Learning Outcomes:

1. To explain to the delegate the foundations of leadership
2. To explore the foundational communication skills in leadership
3. To cover the essential leadership skills for influence
4. To develop delegates understanding of vision & influence
5. To put it all together and explore the next steps

On successful completion of this course, delegates will receive a Special Projects Group Certificate of Completion for the LEADER Programme: Effective Leadership – Foundations Course.

The target audience for the Effective Leadership – Foundations Course includes:

• New or Emerging Leaders: Individuals stepping into leadership roles for the first time who need foundational skills to lead teams effectively.
• Mid-Level Managers: Managers looking to enhance their core leadership abilities, strengthen team dynamics, and build on their existing skills.
• Aspiring Leaders: High-potential team members identified for leadership development who want to prepare for future leadership roles.
• Experienced Leaders Seeking a Refresh: Leaders who want to revisit and refine the basics of effective leadership to stay current with modern leadership practices.
• HR and Learning & Development Professionals: Those responsible for talent development, who wish to understand core leadership principles to better support their teams and organisations.

This course would suit individuals across industries and sectors, including personnel within military, law enforcement and the private security sectors as foundational leadership skills are universally applicable.

There are no prerequisites to attending this LEADER Programme: Effective Leadership – Foundations Course as it is intended for delegates both in a current leadership role, and those looking to advance into a leadership role.
